Merlin, the blue and gold macaw in the foreground, belongs to a friend who wanted me to paint him into a local scene. Here he is in the planter box at Zelda's Restaurant in Capitola, California with the striped market umbrellas and the landmark wharf and cliffs in the background. The flowers are begonias and the cloud on the right is a subtle begonia, also.
