Dyes on silk

This was another Capitola Begonia Festival submission. I painted swans in the lagoon where the nautical parade with flower covered floats is held every September. The begonias have gotten loose and are floating with reeds in the background. The committee liked it but wanted an image with the village for the poster. The painting was later purchased by a woman who was instrumental in bringing the Swan Lake to San Jose's Cleveland Ballet.
