In 1989 the Capitola Begonia Festival committee chose this title as the festival theme. People had asked me where I would paint a camoflauged begonia in another Begonia Festival poster submission. I took some pictures from a beach west of Capitola and decided to "hide" a rose form begonia in the wave. You can see the wharf and continuation of the Monterey Bay's coastline in the background.The cliff and trees are an area known to local surfers as simply "Trees". This became the 1989 festival poster.
