Good Fortune II

I have done several paintings on this black shiny plate and was inspired to paint the fortune cookies after a Chinese dinner. I love the distorted shadows and reflections of the chopsticks and cookies which give shape to the plate. The dramatic three dimensional look is a nice contrast to the soft tropical fabric under the still life utilizing white gutta resist lines and painted in a two dimensional manner. You can provide your own wording for the fortune peeking from the broken cookie.!
